Manchester United have surged into contention to sign a “ridiculous” Premier League star, and they could be set to rival Arsenal for his signature.
Man Utd want to sign new striker to rival Benjamin Sesko
After making a slow start to life in the Premier League, Benjamin Sesko went on to have a decent debut campaign, netting 11 goals in 30 matches, but Man United now want to sign another striker to challenge for the Slovenian’s place in the starting XI.
Of course, Igor Thiago could be an exciting option, with the 24-year-old being selected in Brazil’s World Cup squad, after finishing the season as the second-highest goalscorer in the Premier League.

Man Utd readying move for “ridiculous” forward
According to a report from Sports Boom, Man United are now ‘ready’ for a ‘blockbuster’ move for AFC Bournemouth star Eli Junior Kroupi, as they look to beat Premier League champions Arsenal to his signature.
INEOS may have to shell out a huge fee to get a deal over the line though, with the Cherries planning to demand £80m, which would make the 19-year-old one of the most expensive signings in United’s history.
Michael Carrick‘s side are ‘desperate’ to improve their forward line this summer, and believe the Frenchman has the hallmarks of a ‘future superstar’, in light of his stellar performances in the Premier League throughout the 2025-26 campaign.
Not only did the former Lorient man bag 13 goals in 33 matches during his debut season, but he was also lauded as “ridiculous” by content creator Zaan.
The youngster would also be a versatile option for Carrick, given that he is capable of playing at both striker and in the number 10 role, featuring in both positions regularly for Bournemouth.
As such, Kroupi would be able to slot in for Sesko at centre-forward, and play in attacking midfield instead of Bruno Fernandes when required, with Man United set to have a much more congested fixture list next season.
