CBS college football transfer portal analyst Cooper Petagna reissued his finalized 2026 rankings Tuesday, reflecting the recent news that Texas Tech parted ways with quarterback Brendan Sorsby — the former No. 2 player in the portal. The updated rankings include notable movement and fresh analysis on Texas wide receiver Cam Coleman and LSU offensive tackle Jordan Seaton, among others.

“With Sorsby’s recent decision to declare for the NFL’s Supplemental Draft, the portal rankings will now accurately reflect his decision to turn pro,” Petagna said.

Seaton jumped to No. 3 in the transfer portal rankings after Sorsby’s departure, making LSU just the second program in portal history to land two Top 3 transfers in the same cycle (joining No. 1 Sam Leavitt). The Tigers now boast the No. 1 transfer class in the nation under Lane Kiffin.
