Manchester United have now told every club in the world except two that they can sign one of their star players for a bargain price this summer.

The Red Devils are in a ruthless mood ahead of the summer transfer window and have already agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta. The Brazilian will commence their summer business and Michael Carrick‘s midfield rebuild, which could yet feature some familiar names.

Alongside Ederson, Man United have also not given up on signing Elliot Anderson. Nottingham Forest want a British record to sell the England international this summer and have already rejected Manchester City’s verbal offer, which would have reached £120m with add-ons.

Better signing than Summerville: £40m star now very keen to join Man Utd

Man Utd could have the edge when it comes to making their next summer signing.

Mateus Fernandes is also one to watch. For the time being, West Ham United have named a hefty £85m asking price. Just how long they’ll be able to keep that up in the Championship is the question that Man United will be asking, though, as Old Trafford chiefs await a cheaper deal.

Of course, raising funds for such additions will also play an important part in the club’s summer spending. This could see the likes of Manuel Ugarte depart, joining Rasmus Hojlund whose loan move to Napoli has become permanent.

Neither represent the biggest name heading for the exit door, however, and Man United have now named their price to sell one of their star players.

Man Utd name bargain Rashford price

After Barcelona spent as much as £69m to sign Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United, the man asking the biggest questions will be Marcus Rashford.

He enjoyed an excellent loan spell at the Nou Camp, but is yet to earn the reward of a permanent move. This could put several clubs on red alert.

According to Fabrizio Romano, every club in the world has the chance to sign Rashford this summer apart from Liverpool and Man City.

This is thanks to a previously secret release clause in his contract that allows him to join any other club for £40m outright.

“There is a release clause into the contract of Rashford valid for all the clubs apart from Man City and Liverpool. It’s worth £40m, so available for any club interested.” – Romano

While Man City and Liverpool have been denied a golden opportunity, others could come circling. The England international was involved in 28 goals in all competitions last season, with 14 goals and 14 assists, and could yet end the summer as a World Cup winner.

For £40m, the 28-year-old could become the bargain of the summer if the right move arrives.
