The day started great for Eli Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers on the recruiting trail, but it ended incredibly.
In the span of just a few hours, two massive commitments went Drinkwitz’s way, and that included a recruit who decided to flip his commitment to Mizzou after having previously committed to another SEC program.
That flip came from four-star running back Kingston Miles, one of the top running back recruits in the nation.
Miles had committed to the Auburn Tigers on June 1, but Drinkwitz and the Mizzou Tigers were able to get him onto campus for an official visit on June 12. In response to that official visit, Auburn added three-star running back Khamoni Williams to its recruiting class, and that was what it took for Miles to realize that he wanted to stay in-state and play for Missouri.
“Just the brotherhood and love from my future teammates,” Miles told 247Sports, explaining his reason for flipping from Auburn to Missouri.
