The Florida State Seminoles checked every box for three-star linebacker CJ Ohuabunwa.

From Norcross, Georgia, the Seminoles gave Ohuabunwa the chance to play college ball close to home.

He enjoyed the Tallahassee community and what head coach Mike Norvell has built with the Seminoles, and he found himself impressed by what playing football at Florida State could mean for his life.

It’s not just about football, but Ohuabunwa understood what FSU could do for his chances of getting to the NFL.

Ultimately, though, it was his relationships with linebackers coach Ernie Sims, defensive coordinator Tony White and Norvell that helped Florida State beat out Louisville, Kansas and Virginia Tech for this commitment.

Ohuabunwa’s decision went public on Monday.
