Tottenham have been extraordinarily busy so far this summer as they continue to back Roberto De Zerbi.
One of the latest developments involves signing a surprise new goalkeeper.
Football.london’s Alasdair Gold recently broke news that Spurs are in advanced talks to sign Martin Dubravka on a free transfer.
The experienced goalkeeper has become available after leaving Burnley and has quickly emerged as a serious option for Tottenham.
Dubravka spent last season providing valuable cover and experience at Turf Moor after arriving from Newcastle in 2025, and his availability on a free transfer has made him an attractive market opportunity for several clubs.

Tottenham number one Guglielmo Vicario has been repeatedly linked with a move back to Italy, so their deal for Debravka could be related.
Juventus and Inter Milan have been linked with the Italian international in recent months as they continue searching for a new goalkeeper.
Against that backdrop, Dubravka has moved onto Tottenham’s radar.
The move would represent a low-cost addition during a summer in which Spurs are already committing major funds elsewhere, and much of that spending is expected to focus on their midfield.
Tottenham ‘officially’ launch move to hijack £43m PSG transfer target
Spurs have been quick out the blocks in the summer transfer window and are chasing another deal.
Sandro Tonali remains one of Tottenham’s biggest targets of the window.
Newcastle’s valuation has consistently been reported at around £100 million, but despite that figure, Tottenham have continued exploring the possibility of a deal.
Tottenham’s pursuit has become one of the biggest stories of the summer window, with Spurs already having an £80m bid rejected for the 26-year-old who is said to be keen on the move to N17.
Alongside defensive additions like Jan Paul van Hecke, Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi, Tottenham are attempting to significantly strengthen the spine of the team.
Tonali is viewed as a key part of those plans.
However, he is not the only midfielder under consideration.
Another name moving rapidly up the agenda is Mateus Fernandes.
The West Ham midfielder has attracted growing interest from Spurs throughout the summer. Now, according to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, Tottenham have taken another step forward in their pursuit.
Tottenham hold ‘positive’ talks with West Ham over Mateus Fernandes deal
His report states that ‘positive’ discussions have already taken place between Tottenham and West Ham regarding a potential transfer.
Those conversations are understood to have focused on the framework of a deal that could eventually reach around £85 million.
Fernandes has emerged as one of the most sought-after midfielders in English football after an impressive campaign, and his performances have attracted attention from a number of elite clubs.
Man United have also been heavily linked with the player in recent months.
However, Tottenham’s interest appears to be accelerating.
Matteo Moretto said earlier this week suggested Fernandes was already close to reaching an agreement over personal terms with Spurs.
While those claims indicated formal negotiations between the clubs had not yet begun at that stage, Delaney’s latest report points to direct contact now taking place.
As per Delaney in The Independent, Spurs are currently ready to pay more than United in the race for Fernandes, with the ‘quick‘ Hammers star apparently ‘very keen’ to sign for De Zerbi’s side.
Right now, it appears the Lilywhites are firmly in pole position for Fernandes, and a deal to sign the 21-year-old is widely reported as being separate to Tonali.
