Liverpool have compiled a list of five winger targets, having seemingly missed out on RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande.

The Reds currently aren’t prepared to make another offer for the Ivorian, given that he would prefer to join reigning European champions Paris Saint-Germain.

It is vital Andoni Iraola gets a new winger through the door this summer, following Mohamed Salah’s departure, and Fulham star Kevin has now emerged as a target.

Football FanCast’s Verdict

Credibility

Salah’s nine-year stint at Anfield came to an end at the conclusion of the 2025-26 season, exacerbating the need for Liverpool to sign a new winger. Victor Munoz was an early arrival, signing from Osasuna, but the 22-year-old remains relatively inexperienced, making just 40 senior appearances at club level, so it could make sense to bring in another option.

Finances

Kevin joined Fulham from Shakhtar Donetsk in a €40m (£34m) deal last summer, which provided a reference point as to how much he could cost, and the Brazilian currently rakes in £50,000-a-week, which is considerably less than a lot of Liverpool’s key players.

Insight

The former Shakhtar man chipped in with three goals and four assists in 31 matches for Fulham across all competitions last season, a relatively modest return. However, Shakhtar sporting director Dario Srna couldn’t speak highly enough of him, saying: “Fulham have an amazing winger, he has amazing skills, is so fast, good one-versus-one, he even defends well.”

Impact

Much like Munoz, the 23-year-old is a left-winger by trade, which means he is unlikely to be a direct replacement for Salah. Should Liverpool get a deal over the line, Iraola would have a plethora of options on the left flank, with Cody Gakpo and Rio Ngumoha also at his disposal.

Liverpool eyeing Kevin as Yan Diomande alternative

According to a report from Anfield Watch, Liverpool are now scouring the market for Diomande alternatives, and they have identified five targets, namely Kevin, Bradley Barcola, Mateus Mane, Said El Mala and Bazoumana Toure.

A year on from sealing a €40m (£34m) move to Craven Cottage, the Reds are in the picture to sign the Fulham wide man, but it is unclear whether their Premier League rivals would consider a sale, and he remains under contract until 2030.

Bradley Barcola deal makes more sense than signing Kevin

Kevin scored just one Premier League goal during his debut season, which suggests he may not currently be at the level to join a club like Liverpool.

Barcola, on the other hand, has won two Champions Leagues with PSG, and chipped in with 11 goals and two assists en-route to his side winning the Ligue 1 title last season.

In fact, the Frenchman was PSG’s top scorer in the league, and he is more accustomed to playing on the right than Kevin, doing so on 37 occasions across spells with Lyon and PSG, including games for Lyon’s U19 and B teams.

At 23-years-old, Barcola is a similar age to Kevin, but he has already achieved far more in the game, and he would be a far more exciting signing for Liverpool.
