SEC commissioner Greg Sankey opened the final day of SEC media days with a playful jab directed at LSU Tigers first-year head coach Lane Kiffin.

Ahead of Kiffin’s remarks to the media in Tampa, Sankey ended his introduction of the former Ole Miss Rebels coach with a special shoutout to Kiffin’s son, Knox, for challenging his father to stay off of social media this offseason.

“Someone give Knox a Hugh for me,” Sankey quipped.

The social media blackout has not only eliminated any potential headaches at conference headquarters but also provided a boost for Kiffin, who described the purge as “refreshing” ahead of a critical debut season at LSU.
