With so much talent from the 2027 class already committed, all eyes are on the top prospects from the 2028 class. Even in that class, some of the elite recruits have already made a commitment.

Quarterback Jayden Wade, the No. 2 overall recruit, committed to Georgia back in 2025. Notre Dame landed edge rusher Darieon Prescott, the No. 7 overall player nationally. Ohio State added a pledge from elite receiver Jett Harrison, the No. 16 overall talent. The Buckeyes also landed a commitment from Jameer Whyce, the nation’s No. 31 overall prospect. However, the rest of the Top 32 remains uncommitted.

247Sports national analyst Tom Loy looks at where things stand with those coveted prospects and even gives an early favorite in each recruitment.
