Warren (Mich.) De La Salle three-star quarterback Grayson Thurston is one of a few top class of 2028 signal callers with an offer from Michigan State and head coach Pat Fitzgerald. The Spartans have made it clear to the 6-2, 180-pound gunslinger that if he wants to jump into the class, he has the green light.
Thurston is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 55 quarterback in the land and No. 14 recruit in his home state. His offer list includes Cincinnati, Iowa, Minnesota, and about 10 other programs. Michigan State offered back on June 16.
As a sophomore, Thurston had a strong season. He completed 163 of 259 passes for 2,009 yards, 17 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also scored three times on the ground.
So, what type of shot does Michigan State have? What has Thurston interested in the Spartans?
Here is what he told 247Sports.
