Leeds United have joined the race to sign FC Midtjylland star Dario Osorio, as their search for a new forward continues.
Harry Wilson is the only attacking addition to Daniel Farke‘s squad thus far, which means Leeds remain in the market for fresh options, and AC Milan’s Rafael Leao has also been identified as a potential target, alongside Marseille star Igor Paixao.

Unlike the other wingers under consideration, Osorio is yet to prove himself in one of Europe’s major leagues, having only played for Club Universidad de Chile before signing for Danish side FC Midtjylland in 2023.
The Chilean made 51 senior appearances for Universidad, earning a move to Europe by picking up 11 goals and one assist.
The Hijuelas-born winger is also younger than the Whites’ other targets, and he has been reliable in front of goal throughout his time in Denmark, providing 23 goals and 18 assists in 117 matches for Midtjylland.
Como scout Ben Mattinson has suggested the winger, who is capable of playing on both sides, has what it takes to reach the top level too, saying: “Chilean winger Osorio is someone I’ve liked for a while and I’m glad to see has had a solid first season in Denmark. Outstanding passing and ball-striking/shooting technique. Future top RW.”
Leeds enter the race to sign Dario Osorio
According to a report from Campo (via Sport Witness), Leeds have now joined the race for Osorio’s signature, alongside a whole host of Premier League clubs, with Everton, Liverpool and Arsenal also named as potential suitors.
FC Midtjylland value their winger at €20m (£17m), but they are hoping a bidding war breaks out, considering there is considerable interest from the Premier League.
A move to either England or Italy is deemed the ‘most realistic’ outcome for the 25-cap Chile international, and it would be a statement of intent if the 49ers were able to pull off a move, with Arsenal and Liverpool also in the frame.
Daniel Farke’s update on Leeds’ transfer business
Speaking after the 1-1 pre-season friendly draw against Manchester United earlier this month, which Leeds lost 5-4 on penalties, Farke made it clear he feels extra reinforcements are required before the September 1st deadline, although he refused to be drawn into any speculation.
The Leeds manager said: “Yes, there are some obvious positions where I think we need to do a bit more. You could see today with the line-up a few positions, I was also struggling to cover with specialists.
“But this is also no secret. I won’t speak too much about the positions in public because this will just raise the prices anyhow.”
