Everton have now made contact to sign Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz, as they continue their search for a new right-back.

Despite strengthening in a number of other key areas, the Toffees are still yet to bring in a replacement for Seamus Coleman, who left upon the expiration of his contract, although they have identified several targets.

White and Munoz could be the best options, with both defenders already proven in the Premier League, and the Arsenal defender is also capable of playing at centre-back, which is an added bonus.

However, the Crystal Palace star would also be an exciting option, not least because of his ability going forward, picking up eight goals and 13 assists in the Premier League since signing for the Eagles in January 2024.

Former Genk coach Michel Ribeiro has praised the full-back for his work-rate too, saying: “The number of kilometres he gets through is unbelievable. He is a pain in the ass for his direct opponent, defensively as well as attacking-wise. You need to run so much to keep up with him.”

Daniel Munoz’s Premier League performance in 2025-26

  • 29 appearances
  • 4 goals
  • 3 assists
  • 8 big chances created
  • 7 yellow cards
  • 7.4 defensive contributions per 90

Everton make approach to sign Daniel Munoz

According to journalist Pipe Sierra, Palace are now prepared to offload Munoz this summer, should they receive £25m, and there is no shortage of interest.

Everton, Tottenham Hotspur and Nottingham Forest have all made contact to ask about the conditions of a deal, with the race for the Colombian’s signature now heating up.

The right-back has two years remaining on his Palace contract, which he has seemingly been unwilling to extend, despite the Eagles qualifying for the Europa League via a Europa Conference League triumph last season.

Should Everton miss out on Munoz, White could also be a solid addition to David Moyes‘ backline, with the Arsenal defender now experienced in the Champions League, making 11 appearances in the competition last season.

The Englishman is also slightly younger than the Crystal Palace star, at 28-years-old, and he received major plaudits from Mikel Arteta last season, with the Arsenal boss saying: “His attitude has been so positive, so good. When given the opportunity, you take it.

“I’m very happy that we have him back in the best version of himself as well. We’re going to need him because he’s a tremendous player.”
