Newcastle United and Hull City have joined the race to sign New York Red Bulls striker Julian Hall, who has been in fine form as of late.
Hall is just 18-years-old, but he has already established himself as an important player for the MLS side, picking up 12 goals in 22 matches across all competitions this season, while also chipping in with four assists.
Of course, the teenager is still in the early stages of his career, so it is unclear whether he would be able to make an instant impact in the Premier League, but it is no surprise Newcastle and Hull are eyeing moves.
The Magpies lost one of their main attacking threats earlier this summer, with Anthony Gordon joining FC Barcelona, and Bruno Guimaraes, who picked up nine goals and six assists in 29 Premier League games last season, has now signed for Arsenal.

Sergej Jakirovic, on the other hand, will be looking to bring in some additional firepower this summer, in the hope of keeping his side in the top flight, after leading them to a surprise promotion from the Championship last season.
Although the New York Red Bulls star is more of a left-field option, he could be exactly what they need, with scout Jacek Kulig lauding him for his finishing ability back in May.
Newcastle and Hull battling to sign Julian Hall
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Newcastle and Hull are now battling it out for Hall, although there is set to be competition from some of Europe’s top clubs, as RB Leipzig are keen, and Atletico Madrid recently made an approach.
As things stand, the starlet’s contract is set to expire at the end of 2026, but New York Red Bulls retain an option to extend it by an additional year, strengthening their position somewhat.
Although the MLS star may be one for the future, it would make sense for Matthias Jaissle’s side to bring him in, considering Yoane Wissa struggled on the injury front last season, and scored just one Premier League goal, whereas Nick Woltemade received less game time as the season went on.
Hull, on the other hand, aren’t exactly blessed with centre-forwards, and Jakirovic’s main options are Oli McBurnie and Joe Gelhardt, with the latter only scoring two goals in 35 Premier League appearances to date.
