Bryan, the son of country singer Luke Bryan, notched a win in his first game as the team’s starting quarterback. Bo completed 16 of 21 passes for 375 yards and three touchdown passes. In the first half, he completed 10 of 15 passes for 216 yards and two scores, giving Battle Ground Academy a 21-6 lead at the break. 

Talented receivers Maddox Porter and Max Curry were on the end of Bryan’s passes early and often in the victory.

Bryan, who has been Battle Ground Academy’s backup the last three seasons, is rated a three-star prospect by 247Sports and holds offers from North Alabama, UT Martin, Austin Peay and East Tennessee State.

Rivers left the game in the first quarter with a right knee injury. He completed 3 of 4 passes for 84 yards and a touchdown before exiting.

Rivers, a four-star prospect, is committed to North Carolina State State, where his father and St. Michael Catholic head coach, Philip Rivers, played. 

Last season, Gunner threw for 3,176 yards and a career-best 46 touchdowns. He is less than 600 yards away from breaking the Alabama career passing record.
