If we were to hand out an award for breakout player of the summer, Lewis Uvwo would assuredly be at the top of the candidate list. The 6-foot-11 big man at Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.) Prolific Prep has seen his stock and ranking soar as he’s climbed from just inside of the national Top-100 all the way to five-star status and a No. 7 overall ranking in the class of 2027.

After landing several big-time offers over the past few months, Uvwo is ready to take some steps towards making a decision and sources have confirmed to 247Sports that he’s planned his first four official visits to Baylor, California, Kentucky and Providence.

The shot blocking machine with rapidly emerging ability on the offensive end is looking to make his decision sometime during the first signing period and these visits are just a first step. He’s continuing to take meetings with programs, will be setting more visits and will be paying close attention to who prioritizes him once schools can make in person contact during September.
