Louisville (Miss.) High Top100 running back Zaiden Jernigan is one of the top backs in the class of 2028. 247Sports ranks the 5-11, 195-pound talent as the No. 94 overall player in the nation, No. 5 running back overall, and No. 3 recruit in his home state.
On the recruiting front, he has offers from all over the country. Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Texas, Kentucky, South Carolina, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, and others have offered. He has nearly 30 offers from all over the country.
Back on Oct. 20, 2025, Notre Dame extended an offer to Jernigan. He picked up an offer from the Fighting Irish while on campus. He has since returned for a second visit this past offseason.
