No. 10 Duncanville and No. 16 Allen have combined for eight state championships since 1998 and 10 MaxPreps Top 25 finishes in the past decade.
The last three times the programs have met came in the postseason. Allen won 42-23 in the 2016 6A Division 1 quarterfinals. Duncanville bounced back in 2018 with a 44-35 semifinal victory that ended a 30-game win streak for the Eagles. The Panthers also prevailed 31-9 in a semifinal showdown last season.

The Panthers feature several other three-star recruits in athlete Brayden Arnold, cornerback Jonathan Barnes, offensive lineman Aiden Williams and defensive lineman Janero Welch.
A trio of MaxPreps Preseason Sophomore All Americans lead the charge for Allen, including linebacker Raiden Johnson, wide receiver Zach Williams and quarterback Ty Snell, who is regarded as one of the nation’s top signal callers in the Class of 2029.
Other key players for Allen include three-star Wisconsin commit James Roberson, Colorado pledge and three-star lineman Jayin Talib, three-star defensive lineman and North Texas commit Jacobie Wilkerson along with uncommitted three-star recruits in Dominic Butler and Jaden Davis.
