247Sports updated its 2028 recruiting rankings Wednesday, and it features a new No. 1 overall player. Miami Columbus athlete A’mir Sears is now a five-star recruit, taking the top spot for the 247Sports national scouting team led by director Andrew Ivins.
Sears is a player whom Ivins and company have been keeping a close eye on for the past two years.
He first hit the national radar in January 2025 at Battle Miami and has left his mark ever since.
