Ahmed Nur has climbed to the No. 46 overall spot in the 2027 recruiting rankings after bursting onto the scene ahead of his junior year. The 6-foot-8, 190-pound small forward from Hopkins (Minn.) High remained relatively under the radar with many college coaches until a strong showing at 3SSB in Mishawaka during the live period. His combination of size, length, athleticism and scoring skill set has generated significant intrigue.

After averaging 13.8 points and 6.1 rebounds per game on the Power Five circuit while showcasing his shotmaking ability, Nur has drawn interest from several new programs. In an interview with 247Sports, he discussed his recent recruitment momentum and provided updates on local powers Minnesota and Marquette.

“This spring has really helped me,” Nur said. “I’ve improved a lot. I’ve been getting better every single day, and it’s been super fun.”

Nur first showcased his talent a year ago, earning a top 50 ranking.

His recent explosive performances during the live period demonstrated clear development.

“I’ve been in the gym every day from 4 or 5 a.m. until nighttime,” he said. “I’ve been working super hard, and it all pays off. It’s been great.”

The added development and exposure have led to a noticeable uptick in recruitment activity.

“It’s been going really well,” Nur said. “I’ve been talking to a lot of coaches and getting to know them. I’m really appreciative.”

While Marquette and Minnesota have been involved for some time, new programs have recently entered the picture:
