New national No. 1 Calallen (Corpus Christi) headlines six teams featured in the MaxPreps Top 25 high school baseball rankings looking to bring home a Texas state title this weekend at Dell Diamond in Round Rock.

All 11 championship games will streamed live on the NFHS Network.
Led by Steve Chapman, the winningest coach in state history, the Calallen looks to add title No. 4 in program history when it takes on No. 14 Pleasant Grove (Texarkana) on Friday morning in the Conference 4A Division 1 final.

Calallen (38-2) is led by MaxPreps National Player of the Year candidate Drayton Mitchell, who is 12-0 with 88 strikeouts in 66.2 innings and is batting .527 with 54 RBI and nine home runs. 

Pleasant Grove (38-4) looks for redemption against Calallen after falling 5-3 in last year’s championship game.

Tomball (42-1-1) had been the nation’s top-ranked team until a loss in its semifinal series but the Cougars still advanced to the Conference 6A Division 2 final against Memorial (Houston) (34-7) at 4 p.m. Saturday. C.J. Sampson leads Tomball with a sub-1.00 ERA and nearly 100 strikeouts as the Cougars seek their second title in three years.
No. 23 Aledo (38-3) is looking for its second straight title as it tangles with Lake Creek (Montgomery) in the 5A Division 1 final. New to the rankings is No. 24 Lovejoy (Lucas), which plays Sharyland (Mission) in the 5A Division 2 championship. The final MaxPreps Top 25 team in championship action is No. 18 Keller, which battles Lake Travis (Austin) on Saturday in the 6A Division 1 title game.
