The updated Top247 for the 2027 college football recruiting class dropped Wednesday, featuring 12 newcomers in the top 150. The biggest risers include coveted uncommitted offensive tackle Terrance Smith along with commitments to Texas, Penn State, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech, among others.
The 6-foot-7, 290-pound Smith rocketed from unranked to No. 39 overall after emerging as one of the nation’s top offensive tackles during his junior season at Lansdale (Pa.) High. LSU, Auburn, Tennessee and Rutgers are his four finalists ahead of his June 15 commitment date with a favorite beginning to emerge in the recruitment.
The Longhorns and Hokies were the only programs with two newcomers in the top 150 — a testament to the strong work of their scouting departments and a significant boost to their standings in the 2027 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings.
