Following the arrival of Marcos Senesi, Tottenham Hotspur are now preparing to spend big to sign another Premier League star.

Despite only avoiding relegation on the final day, the North London club remain an attractive destination for players. They kicked off their summer by welcoming Andy Robertson on a free deal and have since followed that up by welcoming former Bournemouth star Senesi. The two defenders will play a key part in Roberto De Zerbi‘s rebuild.

Speaking for the first time since putting pen to paper, Senesi admitted that it’s a “special” feeling to join the Lilywhites, saying: “It’s a very special feeling to be a Tottenham Hotspur player.

“From the first moment, the club has shown why they want me and how much they want me to be a part of what they are building. It’s exciting and something I can’t wait to be involved in.”

It’s another sign of intent from Spurs, who are not stopping there. Reports have suggested that they still want to reinforce their frontline and Manchester City’s Savinho is on their radar as a result.

Talks are reportedly advancing between all parties, but it remains to be seen whether those in North London are prepared to go all out to welcome the Brazilian, especially as another key target emerges.

Tottenham preparing big-money move for Premier League star

ENIC have a big decision to make regarding De Zerbi’s attack. If it’s not Savinho who arrives then it could be another big-money Premier League talent.

According to Caught Offside, Tottenham are now readying a €70m (£60m) move to sign Cody Gakpo from Liverpool and will make a ‘formal approach’ soon.

The winger’s future has been in question since Arne Slot’s departure and, although he’s unlikely to push for an Anfield exit, Spurs’ £60m offer could certainly make things interesting and they are now leading the race.

For all the criticism that he received in Merseyside last season, the Dutchman is still rated in the dressing room. Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk has previously hailed his teammate as an “outstanding professional” and that’s exactly what De Zerbi needs at Spurs.

The Spurs boss has already welcomed one Premier League winner in Robertson and could now form a reunion with his former teammate by welcoming Gakpo.

Whether it’s Savinho or the Liverpool star, it’s clear that Tottenham are on the hunt for another left-winger as they rebuild what was a blunt attack last season.
