Christian Rodriguez’s time at Xtreme Couture with head coach Eric Nicksick finally helped him snap his 2 fight loosing skid.
Earlier tonight at UFC Vegas 119, with his perfect technical style, “CeeRod” landed a variety of strikes, bloodied and stunned his opponent Hyder Amil early in Round 1, and also looked to score a takedown
Late in the opening round, Christian Rodriguez landed a perfect head kick to Amil’s cheek that sent the latter crashing to the canvas. The 29-year-old wasted no time and immediately swarmed for a TKO finish.
However, “The Hurricane” did his best to survive. He tried grabbing the American’s leg and attempting to work his way back to his feet, but Rodriguez gave him no chance to recover. He quickly locked up a guillotine choke late in Round 1 to put the 36-year-old to sleep.

Christian Rodriguez finally managed to snap his 2-fight losing skid tonight at UFC Vegas 119 and improved his professional record to 13-4.
Hyder Amil, on the other hand, failed to return to winning ways and is now on a three-fight losing skid (11-3).
