Seventeen state associations sanctioned the sport during the
2025-26 season. Kansas,
Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey and North Carolina will join that group in 2026-27.

Selections are based on team success, individual production and local, regional and state honors from the recently-completed season. Read on for a look at the inaugural flag football MaxPreps All-Americans.

FIRST TEAM

MAXPREPS NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

Led the Golden Eagles to back-to-back undefeated championship seasons. The Nebraska commit is a two-time Colorado Player of the Year after finishing her two-year varsity career with more than 200 total touchdowns.

NATIONAL FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR

Position: Quarterback Year: Freshman

Collins led the Lancers to a 16-1 record with 2,432
passing yards and 47 touchdowns. Averaged more than 100 rushing yards over four playoff games en route to
an 4A state championship.

NATIONAL JUNIOR OF THE YEAR

Makena Cook, Orange Lutheran (Orange, Calif.)

Position: Quarterback Year: Junior

After throwing for 7,083 yards and 112 touchdowns, Cook will bring her talents to Sierra Canyon next season.

Harrison seamlessly transitioned into the starting quarterback role, accounting for 98 total touchdowns. The Alabama Player of the Year helped lead Central to its third consecutive state championship.

Higa concluded
one of the most decorated careers in flag football history, throwing
for 5,764 yards and 92 touchdowns while adding 1,043 rushing yards and
10 scores as a senior. She is the national career leader with
23,519 passing yards and 384 touchdown passes.

Akiko Higa, Desert Oasis
Position: Wide Receiver Year: Senior

Capped a
remarkable career with 1,572 receiving yards and 37 touchdowns as a
senior. She is second on the career list with 7,813 receiving yards and broke career records with 150 receiving touchdowns, 152 total
touchdowns, and 976 points scored.

Ava Irwin, JSerra Catholic (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.)
Position: Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Year: Freshman

Burst
onto the scene with 1,903 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns while helping JSerra Catholic
finish 28-0. The Team USA member also contributed
on defense with 94 flag pulls and 15 interceptions.

Jessica ManriquezVincent Memorial (Calexico, Calif.)
Position: Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Year: Junior

Manriquez
delivered a record-breaking junior season, totaling 276 receptions for
3,702 yards and 43 touchdowns. The dynamic two-way standout also
recorded 17 interceptions and was chosen to represent Team Mexico on the
international stage, where she caught four TD passes in the gold medal game against the United States.

Jaylani Palmer, Shadow Ridge (Las Vegas, Nev.)
Position: Athlete Year: Senior

Led Shadow Ridge to its third state title in four years with a remarkable all-around senior season, totaling 48 touchdowns while adding 23 interceptions on defense. The Nevada Player of the Year and Nebraska signee finished her career among the nation’s career leaders with 7,712 receiving yards, 130 receiving touchdowns and a record 70 interceptions.

Position: Wide Receiver Year: Senior

A
two-time Arizona Player of the Year, Taylor-Jenkins capped her career
with a second consecutive undefeated season and state championship. The
dynamic playmaker recorded 32 touchdown receptions, snagged 14
interceptions on defense and displayed her talent on the national stage
at the NFL FLAG Showcase at the Pro Bowl.

Daisy Throckmorton, McClatchy (Sacramento, Calif.)
Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

Led McClatchy to the Sac-Joaquin Section Division I championship and closed her career as one of the most prolific quarterbacks in state history, throwing for 16,559 yards and 230 touchdowns. The Cal Poly commit also participated in the NFL FLAG Showcase at the Pro Bowl.

NATIONAL SOPHOMORE OF THE YEAR

Position: Quarterback Year: Sophomore

Broke the single-season national records for passing yards (9,503) and total
yards (9,807) while tossing 112 touchdowns, helping the Scots capture the San Diego Section Division II
championship. She went 31 for 36 for 376 yards and six touchdowns without an interception in the final. Representing Mexico at the Junior
International Cup, Trujillo threw four TD passes with 212 yards to beat the United States in the gold medal game.

SECOND TEAM

Capped her senior season by throwing for 229 yards and five touchdowns in the Division 3 state championship game, leading North Oconee to the title.

Led Alonso with 20 touchdown receptions while
totaling 929 receiving yards.

Threw for 291 yards
and four touchdowns in the 3A state championship game to lead Seminole Ridge to its second consecutive
title. Finished the season with 5,185
passing yards and 78 touchdowns while guiding the nation’s top-ranked
spring team.


Made an
immediate impact, totaling 571 receiving yards and 13
touchdowns while helping Robinson capture its 10th consecutive state championship. She also contributed on defense with 41 flag pulls
and nine interceptions.

Rakyia Louis, Edison (Miami, Fla.)
Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

Closed her career at No. 2 in state history with 16,353 passing yards. She punctuated her final season with 248 yards and four touchdowns in the 1A state championship game, helping lead Edison to back-to-back titles.

Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

A
repeat state POY selection, Merville led Ravenwood to a second
straight state championship while accounting for 84 total
touchdowns. She starred on both sides of the ball, combining 44 rushing
and 40 passing touchdowns with 10 interceptions on defense.

Morales became the national career rushing leading rusher during a dominant
junior campaign to bring her total to 7,760 yards. She tallied
1,822 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns this year while
adding 1,343 receiving yards and 14 scores, helping Arbor View to a 23-3
record.

Position: Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Year: Sophomore

Recorded 1,596 receiving yards and 43 touchdowns while helping Central finish 20-0 and capture its third consecutive state championship. She also contributed defensively with 63 flag pulls and three interceptions.

Accounted for four touchdowns in
the state championship game, throwing for three scores and rushing for
another in a 26-3 victory over Whitney Young.

Threw for 4,076 yards and 90
touchdowns while adding 20 interceptions on defense. The Washington
Player of the Year helped lead Lincoln to 21 consecutive victories and
the Class 3A state championship.

Trishelle Tucay, Liberty (Henderson, Nev.)
Position: Athlete Year: Sophomore

Posted 2,036 receiving yards and 23 touchdowns while contributing 84 flag pulls and 22 sacks on defense. The Team USA Flag member already owns 3,843 career receiving yards and 49 career sacks through just two seasons.

Position: Athlete Year: Junior

A driving force behind Robinson’s 10th consecutive state
championship, recording 1,828 receiving yards and 43 touchdowns. She also made an impact defensively with 82 flag pulls and
nine interceptions.

THIRD TEAM

A four-time state
champion, Allen capped her decorated career by accounting for four
touchdowns in the Class AA state title game, throwing for three scores
and rushing for another. The Montana Player of the Year will continue
her career at Milligan University in Tennessee.

Threw for a state-best 4,681
yards and 74 touchdowns while adding 1,012 rushing yards and 14 more
scores for the Division II state champions. 

Happy Dubois, Orange Lutheran
Position: Wide Receiver/Defensive Back Year: Freshman

Hauled in 129 receptions for 1,747 yards and 31 touchdowns. She also contributed defensively with 23 flag pulls and six interceptions.

Threw for 7,100
yards and 107 touchdowns while adding 1,031 rushing yards and 21 scores
on the ground. Capped the year with 420 passing yards and four touchdowns in the
Sac-Joaquin Section D-II championship game.

Piled up 21 touchdowns without an
interception while helping lead George County to its first state
championship. She threw a walk-off touchdown
pass in the final seconds of the title game.

Kate Meier, JSerra Catholic
Position: Quarterback Year: Freshman

QB | 2029
Guided JSerra Catholic to a perfect 28-0 season, throwing for 3,729
yards and 58 touchdowns. The Team USA Flag member added five rushing
touchdowns for the Lions.

Diaris Morales, Choctawhatchee (Fort Walton Beach, Fla.)
Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

Closed her career as Florida’s career passing leader with 17,193 yards, a total that ranks third all-time nationally.

Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

In her first
season playing the sport, Paul earned Ohio Player of the Year honors
as well as the MVP of the inaugural state championship game by
throwing three touchdown passes and recording two interceptions. She
finished with 2,049 passing yards, 42 touchdowns, 44 flag pulls and 19
interceptions. She is committed to play both flag football and
basketball at John Carroll University.

Led Wakefield to a 27-0 season, throwing for 3,400 yards and 57 touchdowns while
adding 15 more scores on the ground.

Jillian Preston, South Anchorage (Anchorage, Alaska)
Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

Pushed South Anchorage to the program’s first state championship, throwing for more than 3,500 yards and 56 touchdowns.

Delivered a record-breaking senior season, throwing for 7,100 yards and 122 touchdowns. Finished  as Alabama’s career passing leader with 12,226 yards and
198 touchdown passes.

Gabby Werr, Alonso
Position: Quarterback Year: Senior

Led Alonso to a 19-1 record during a standout senior season, throwing for 5,185 yards and 82 touchdowns. She finished her career with 13,530 passing yards and 213 touchdown passes.
