Jackson (Miss.) Academy Top100 offensive tackle Caden Moss is headed to Ohio State to play for the Buckeyes. The 6-5, 320-pound player, who is ranked as the No. 69 overall player in the country according to 247Sports, chose to play for head coach Ryan Day over offers from Oregon, Kentucky, Ole Miss, LSU, Tennessee, and many others.
Behind the scenes, this was a very interesting recruitment to track. Kentucky had plenty of reasons to be confident that he was headed to Lexington. The Wildcats were about as close to landing him as you could possibly be. However, in the end, he chose Ohio State after weighing his options over the past 24 hours.
So, why Ohio State? What led him to pick the Buckeyes? How did the staff react when he chose to play in Columbus?
Here is what Moss told 247Sports.
