Conor McGregor weighs in on Curry Barker’s record-breaking horror hit, Obsession. According to reports, the film was made on a budget of just $750,000 but went on to gross $407 million worldwide, becoming the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2026.
After a five-year hiatus, McGregor returns to the octagon to run it back with Max Holloway in the main event of UFC 329. Fans of the Irishman are already searching for a One Wish Willow so that they can use their lone wish before this weekend to make “The Notorious” return to winning ways.
Conor McGregor says he would love to watch Obsession, reacts to movie’s record-breaking success
During UFC 329 media day, Nina-Marie Daniele informed Conor McGregor about the remarkable success of Obsession in 2026. Speaking to the former UFC double champ, she said:
“Obsession’s a horror movie. So, they started off with this movie. It was like maybe only a couple thousand dollars that they spent on it. The guy was a YouTuber. He created this movie, Obsession. It made $400 million. [Just] $700,000 to make the movie.”
Astonished by the movie’s box office success, Conor McGregor remarked:
“Wow [super-impressed after hearing Obsession’s box office records]. Is Obsession in the movies now? It is, yeah? Nice. I’ll check it out.”

During the same interview, when Nina-Marie Daniele asked “The Notorious” if he belives in the existence of aliens, he said:
“Yes, I do… I 100% believe in aliens for sure. In fact, I actually spend my evening staring at stars, waiting for it, waiting for it to move, thinking it’s going to go…”
Meanwhile, Daniele talked about how, once, while travelling from Milwaukee back to New York on a flight, she saw three orbs moving as fast as the aircraft for half an hour. As per Nina Drama, this was ‘the craziest thing she has ever seen,’ which led her to believe that aliens and extraterrestrial life are, in fact, real. While talking about her alien experience, she said:
“I was on a flight from Milwaukee back to New York, and we’re all the way; we’re like, we’re 30,000 ft high, but you can see down, you can see the road and all of the lights and things like that, and all of a sudden I see three orbs, and they’re going as fast as the as the plane is going, but they’re on they’re on the ground and for a half an hour they were trailing the plane and they went over they went through the woods.”
“They went through this whole expanse of land and then they went over water. Once they went over water, they split, and then they came back together. It was great. It was the craziest sh*t I’ve ever seen. Then they just disappeared.”
