Arsenal have set out to sign a new left-winger this summer, and two big names have made their way onto the shortlist, as revealed by Fabrizio Romano.
The transfer expert said: “(Bradley) Barcola is also appreciated by Arsenal, but he’s not position number one. Position number one is Morgan Rogers, position number two is Barcola, and there are more options in terms of wingers, so that’s the situation at Arsenal, then it’s important to mention for Paris Saint-Germain [he] is not untouchable because the new contract talks are completely, completely on standby, standby for long time.
“So Barcola and PSG, at the moment, there is no agreement over new deal, and also it is important to say PSG would ask important money, so who’s going to sign Barcola?”
However, the Gunners have also been pushing to sign a lesser-known forward, in the form of Club Brugge’s Christos Tzolis, and Romano has now shared a further update on their pursuit.

Fabrizio Romano shares Christos Tzolis to Arsenal update
In a recent X post, Romano has revealed Arsenal are in “regular contact” with Tzolis’ camp regarding a move to the Emirates Stadium this summer.
Crucially, the Greece international is keen on joining, but the Gunners may have to finalise the sale of Trossard to Besiktas before they make a formal move.
Why Christos Tzolis could be the ideal signing for Arsenal
Arsenal need to sign a new winger as a replacement for Trossard, and much like the Belgium star, Tzolis is a natural left-winger, who has a keen eye for goal.
In fact, the 24-year-old has picked up a whopping 88 goal involvements in 108 matches since signing for Club Brugge, and journalist Dimitris Manakos waxed lyrical about his compatriot amid a fantastic run of form last season.
Tzolis didn’t excel during his previous stint in the Premier League with Norwich, failing to score in 14 matches during the 2021-22 season.
However, the Club Brugge star was still very young back then, and he has clearly developed as a player since, proving himself in the Champions League by picking up two goals and one assist in nine matches last season.
