Tottenham Hotspur have enjoyed one of the busiest transfer windows in the Premier League, but Roberto De Zerbi‘s work in the market is not finished just yet.
Spurs have already completed six first-team signings this summer, strengthening several areas of the squad, yet none of those arrivals have been natural attacking players.

Instead, the club have prioritised reinforcements in defence and midfield as De Zerbi reshapes the squad ahead of the new campaign.
That has led to growing speculation over attacking reinforcements in recent weeks.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with both Manchester City winger Savinho and Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo, with the pair seemingly emerging as De Zerbi’s leading targets to inject more pace and creativity into the final third.
However, while Gakpo appears difficult to prise away from Anfield, Savinho appears to be the more attainable option.
Now, there has been a significant development.
Tottenham talks advancing for Savinho
According to Football Insider, Tottenham are advancing in talks with Manchester City over a deal for the Brazilian winger, with Spurs confident an agreement can be reached sooner rather than later.
A total transfer could be worth around £60m, with personal terms already in place between Savinho and those in north London.
Reporter Pete O’Rourke even adds that ‘De Zerbi feels like he would be the perfect addition to Spurs’ attacking ranks’.
Still just 22 years of age, Savinho has already shown he can thrive at the highest level and still has plenty of time to develop before entering his peak years.
Hailed as an “aggressive” winger by Pep Guardiola, Savinho also has excellent pace and one-on-one ability, so his willingness to carry the ball over long distances and create chances could add another dimension to Tottenham’s attack.
Savinho has played just over 4,500 minutes in 84 appearances for Man City, scoring seven goals and providing 16 assists, so regular starts with Tottenham could appeal to the forward, who needs guaranteed minutes at this stage of his career.
With huge money spent in midfield on Tonali and Fernandes, Savinho could become Spurs’ first genuine marquee attacking signing of the window, making this one to watch.
