Jerry Outhouse Jr. will start his senior season in a few weeks, but the Crowley (Texas) North Crowley prospect will play his final high school game in Hawaii. The Top247 cornerback is the latest name to be added to the 2027 adidas Polynesian Bowl roster. One of the nation’s premier post-season all-star games is a popular destination for top players.
The 6-foot, 180 pounds, Outhouse is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 17 CB nationally and No. 23 overall in Texas.
Outhouse originally committed to Georgia during the spring but flipped to UCLA in May. For Outhouse, the invitation crosses a big goal off his list.
“It feels really good,” Outhouse said. “This was one of my senior goals to play in this game. With this, I’ve only got two more goals to accomplish, and that’s getting my fifth star and getting a (state championship) ring in December. It means everything, so I’m just thankful to be selected. I can’t wait to see the culture of Hawaii and just be there.”
Since committing to the Bruins, Outhouse has been locked in with UCLA. A big reason for that has been the new coaching staff led by coach Bob Chesney.
“I’m locked in with UCLA,” Outhouse said. “I believe in coach Chesney and the entire staff from my DC to my position coach. I’m ready to get to LA and make an impact my freshman year. I won’t be going on any other visits, just the Rose Bowl baby.”
