Victor Osimhen is back on the radar of Premier League clubs this summer. The Galatasaray forward looks to be heading for the exit door won’t come cheap, given that the Turkish club have already rejected an offer from Saudi Arabia.

Among those eyeing a move is Manchester United. The Red Devils have already got young forward Benjamin Sesko to turn to, as well as the versatile Bryan Mbeumo, but could now turn the way of Osimhen.

The Nigerian is very much a proven goalscorer these days, netting as many as 200 senior career goals, and could quickly turn any top four side into sudden title challengers. Whether that’s Man United remains the big question.

It’s a remarkable record, but one which does not feature the Premier League. It’s not been for the want of trying, either. Chelsea were interested in Osimhen two years ago, only for his salary demands to price them out of a move.

Instead, the forward settled for Galatasaray, where he has thrived ever since. Now, at 27 years old, English clubs could come knocking once again and he could finally get his chance in English football.

As reported by TeamTalk, Man United are now discussing a move to sign Osimhen this summer. The Nigerian is still up for grabs at Galatasaray after they rejected an approach from Saudi Arabia, and that has left Arsenal, Tottenham and those at Old Trafford on high alert.

Once again, though, his salary is a topic of much contention. Osimhen is keen on a move to the Premier League, but hefty wage demands remain a big obstacle. He is believed to be making over £300,000-a-week in Turkey, where he is subject to much more lenient tax laws than on offer in most of Europe.

Two years ago, Chelsea backed away from a move, with the report revealing it was indeed wage demands that stood in the way. Now, as Man United hold internal discussions about the star striker, they could quickly follow in the Blues’ footsteps.

It remains to be seen where that leaves Osimhen. He will be aware that, if he wants to finally complete a move to England, then his wage packet will have to decrease. Whether he’s willing to make that sacrifice is the big question.

What doesn’t help Osimhen is the news that he’s not the only forward on United’s radar. Old Trafford chiefs have also reportedly made contact to sign Endrick from Real Madrid.

Jose Mourinho’s side have already issued a hands-off response to interested parties, but that hasn’t stopped the Red Devils. The Brazilian is reportedly keen on a move to the Manchester club and would likely make an immediate impact after such a successful loan spell at Lyon last season.

As the transfer deadline nears, it looks as though Man United are far from done on the incoming’s front.
