KENDALLVILLE, Ind. — East Noble has a two-way standout suiting up for them from the class of 2029 in Top100 linebacker/running back Austin Phillips. The 6-2, 215-pound talent burst onto the scene as a freshman last fall to the tune of 967 rushing yards and 11 scores, in addition to 99 tackles, 13 for a loss, three sacks, and three forced fumbles.
Friday night marked the season-opener for Phillips and the Knights, which went well. East Noble defeated Fort Wayne (Ind.) North Side, 19-0, to get things started.
For Phillips, he primarily played defense Friday night, but will surely contribute a lot more on both sides of the ball as the season progresses. Personally and as a team, there are some big goals on deck for 247Sports’ No. 63 overall player in the 2029 class.
