The LSU Tigers and head coach Lane Kiffin notched a significant win on the high school recruiting trail on Wednesday, keeping the top in-state running back after an aggressive pursuit from a pair of SEC rivals.
Four-star running back Trey Martin, the No. 1 player at his position in the state of Louisiana for the 2027 recruiting cycle, selected LSU over the Florida Gators and Ole Miss Rebels, per reports. This gives Kiffin another significant off-field win before his first season with the Tigers begins.
Per MaxPreps, he rushed for 1,310 yards and averaged 11.4 yards per attempt as a high school junior.
His commitment gives LSU two of the top running backs in the 2027 class after previously landing David Segarra, the No. 6 back in the class, according to 247Sports.
