Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are now attempting to get one over on Bayern Munich to sign an impressive teenage star this summer.
The Premier League duo are in for frantic summer windows, with Tottenham already kicking theirs off in style. The Lilywhites have welcomed Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free deals, and have agreed a move worth over £50m to sign Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Fabrizio Romano: Spurs readying official approach for £100m Premier League star
The Lilywhites are spending big to back Roberto De Zerbi this summer.
After avoiding shock relegation on the final day of last season, the North London club clearly mean business, as they look to back Roberto De Zerbi in full.
The same can be said for Manchester United. They’ve already agreed a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta and are now keen to further add to their midfield, with Elliot Anderson still on their radar.
The England international played an important role for the Three Lions as they overcame Croatia in their first World Cup group game, showing all the signs of the £120m player that Nottingham Forest want him to become.
Alas, it’s not just the familiar that the Premier League clubs are targeting. They’ve also got their sights set on an impressive Bayern Munich target.

Man Utd and Tottenham targeting teenage star
As reported by TeamTalk, Man United and Tottenham have launched hijacks to sign Nathan De Cat ahead of Bayern Munich this summer.
The English clubs, alongside Bayern, have made enquiries over the availability of the 17-year-old Anderlecht midfielder, sparking a huge transfer race.
It’s easy to see why there’s interest in De Cat, and Anderlecht are reportedly willing to listen to offers worth around €40m (£35m) to sell their young star. Whether Man United, Tottenham or Bayern Munich take full advantage of that is the big question.
Dubbed “sensational” by U23 scout Antonio Mango, the midfielder is a man in-demand across Europe. As many as nine English clubs are eyeing moves, and the teenager is a contender to solve Man United’s midfield problem for years to come alongside Kobbie Mainoo.

The fact that De Cat played over 2000 minutes in Belgium at just 17 years old last season should tell potential suitors all they need to know. He is showing all the signs of becoming a generational talent that Man United and Spurs will not want to miss out on.
