The five-star cornerback from Crowley (Texas) North Crowley chose the Longhorns on Friday, picking Texas over rival Texas A&M. Texas came into the day ranked 13th in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings, and they rose well into the Top 10 with a huge jump.
At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, Meredith is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 1 cornerback and the No. 1 overall player in Texas.
