The UFC Vegas 119 co-main event featured a light-heavyweight bout between Navajo Stirling and Ion Cutelaba.

In the opening stanza, “The Hulk” hunted for an early finish by securing a takedown and looking as though he might submit the undefeated Kiwi at any moment. However, Stirling was no easy game, and every time the fight returned to the feet, his landing strikes were enough to stun Cutelaba.

In Round 2, Navajo Stirling secured a takedown of his own, but it briefly proved to be a mistake as the 32-year-old attempted to set up an arm-triangle choke. Once the fight returned to the feet, Cutelaba scored another takedown but began to gas out.

Watching him slow down, Navajo Stirling worked his way back to his feet. While Ion Cutelaba just sat against the fence with an empty gas tank, the Kiwi unleashed non-stop bombs until the referee was eventually forced to step in and stop the fight.

Official decision: Navajo Stirling defeats Ion Cutelaba via TKO in 3:23 mark of Round 2.

The 28-year-old is now 5-0 in the UFC, and after tonight’s win at UFC Vegas 119, Stirling has improved his professional record to 10-0.
