Back in June of 2025, Jaiden Fields was leaving Oklahoma with a brand new offer. And at that time, he started to realize he might want to pledge to the Sooners one day.
Just over a year later, Fields is officially an OU commit. A long and winding road leads to a rewarding end result.
“I would say it’s been a roller coaster,” Fields said about his recruitment.
“When I got the (OU) offer at first, I was thinking ‘Oh yeah, this is the place’,” Fields continued. “I felt it.”
Oklahoma was always seen as an attractive landing spot, but the path to Norman for Fields was far from clearcut.
