Things got heated up during and after the UFC 329 press conference between Conor McGregor and Max Holloway, and both main-event fighters had to be held back.
The former UFC double champ is returning to the octagon after five long years of waiting to run it back with ex-UFC featherweight titleholder and former BMF kingpin Holloway, whom the Irishman beat 13 years ago by unanimous decision.
After the UFC 329 presser, during the faceoff, Conor McGregor wasted no time ripping Max Holloway’s sunglasses off his face and then slapping the Hawaiian’s hand and rejecting the idea of a handshake before their UFC 329 rematch. After throwing down Holloway’s shades, McGregor said:
“It’s fine; let’s go again.”
Then, as “Blessed” put his hand forward for a handshake, McGregor slapped the Hawaiian’s hand and quipped:
“Get that out of my face.”
Lastly, Dana White added:
“Alright, get ’em out of here.”

Conor McGregor believes Max Holloway is motivated by financial gain rather than a Real desire to fight: “he’s here for the economics of it”
During the UFC 329 post-fight presser, when Conor McGregor was asked what he thinks about Max Holloway’s comments about a potential trilogy bout later this year and “Blessed” believing that he can knock him out at UFC 329, the Irishman opined that Holloway is here to make money and does not realize the danger he is in, but will feel it when the octagon door shuts Saturday night as Mystic Mac plans on retiring Holloway.
“I find it disrespectful. Sure, he’s here for the economics of it. He must not realize the danger he is in. I forecast Holloway’s retirement on Saturday night. Not a trilogy for cash.”
Meanwhile, Holloway quipped:
“I hope [Conor] knows how to swim. I am drowning his a*s.”
