You can’t coach size, and the Alabama Crimson Tide have found plenty of it from four-star 2028 offensive line recruit Anthony Blalock Jr.

Blalock, from Youngstown, Ohio, committed to Kalen DeBoer and the Crimson Tide on Monday.

Not even a junior in high school yet, he checks in at 6-foot-5, 305 pounds.

If you really stop to think about it, it’s incredible to consider Blalock’s potential as a college football recruit. If he never gains another ounce of skill as an offensive lineman, there’s still a world in which he can keep growing, and he’ll enter Tuscaloosa somewhere closer to 6-foot-6 and well over 300 pounds.

He has skill, though, and that’s what makes him such an intriguing recruit. According to 247Sports, he’s ranked as the No. 8 interior offensive line recruit in the 2028 class. He’s also the No. 4 player from Ohio.

That size, though. Again, you can’t teach that so that the Crimson Tide will take that every day and twice on Saturdays.

Why did Anthony Blalock Jr. commit to Alabama?

Blalock committed to Alabama over Ohio State and Texas Tech. He credited offensive line coach Adrian Klemm as a major reason why he chose the Tide.
