The highest earning players in the Premier League (ranked)

Player wages all been a contentious point of debate and it would appear that as we enter the 2026/27 season, things are no different in that regard.

The Premier League pay footballers some of the highest salaries in the game, and the division’s wage bill is only getting bigger after some frantic activity in the winter transfer window.

Marc Guehi joined Manchester City from Crystal Palace and has become one of the highest earners in the entirety of the top-flight. As for Bukayo Saka, he put pen to paper on a deal that presented him with a whopping pay rise at the beginning of the year.

Alexander Isak (Liverpool) – £280k-per-week

The Swedish striker has struggled since moving to Liverpool. During an injury-hit maiden campaign at Anfield, Isak bagged just four goals in 22 matches.

As a result, he is hardly justifying the whopping £280,000 a week salary he was handed in the summer of 2025 following his controversial switch from Newcastle United.

Phil Foden (Man City) – £280k-per-week

In July 2026, Phil Foden signed a new contract with Enzo Maresca’s side and did so to the tune of £280k-per-week, making him one of the highest-paid English players in the world.

Foden was always rated highly by Pep Guardiola and would appear to be rated by Maresca too given the new contract.

Kai Havertz (Arsenal) – £280k-per-week

The German has spent a considerable amount of time out injured across the last year but is one of the most important players in Arsenal’s squad.

He’s transformed from a midfielder into a striker under Mikel Arteta and is set to play a huge part as the Gunners battle for multiple major honours.

His take home is the second biggest in Arteta’s squad for a reason.

Omar Marmoush (Man City) – £295k-per-week

Marmoush signed from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 and made an immediate impact in City sky blue, scoring a long-range screamer that deserved to win the Premier League’s goal of the season award.

He was quieter in 2025/26, however, scoring just eight goals in 36 outings. It would not be a surprise if he left Manchester behind.

Jack Grealish (Man City) – £300k-per-week

Yes, you have read that right. England international Jack Grealish is really earning £300,000 on a weekly basis at Manchester City.

Since his £100m move from Aston Villa, the attacker hasn’t had things all his own way and has struggled to replicate the form that saw him signed for a then British record fee.

Loaned out to Everton in 2025/26, the Toffees want him back and it’s likely City will hope he leaves given the salary he’s earning.

One of the best players in English football, is it any surprise to see him take home such a hefty wage?

Saying that, had he moved to Saudi Arabia last summer, he’d have been taking home even more. Scary, isn’t it?

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal) – £300k-per-week

News emerged at the beginning of 2026 that Saka was set to pen new terms at the Emirates Stadium. That new deal has made him the highest earner at Arsenal, taking home one of the biggest salaries in the Premier League. Richly deserved for the club’s star boy.

Manchester City handed Guehi a remarkable £300k-per-week salary after arriving from Crystal Palace in January 2026. Only one defender in the entire division earns more than him.

One of the finest strikers in the land, is it any surprise to see the Norwegian powerhouse take home the biggest salary in English football?
