Rangers have already signed one winger this month and are closing in on another, but their search for attacking talent appears far from finished.
Daisuke Yokota became Derek McInnes’ ninth summer arrival when he joined from Hannover 96 for an initial £2.75 million.
The Japanese attacker gives Rangers a natural option on the right and brings the direct running that has too often been missing from their attacking play.
A much bigger deal is also moving closer, with Couhaib Driouech travelling to Glasgow as Rangers work to complete a transfer worth around £7 million from PSV Eindhoven.
McInnes has made no secret of his desire to add more speed and unpredictability in wide areas. Rangers’ difficult opening to the season has only increased the pressure to give him players capable of beating defenders and changing matches.
That makes the latest name on their radar particularly interesting.
Min-su Kim is a 20-year-old South Korean winger who has spent most of his football education in Spain.
He moved into the Girona system after developing at Catalan club Damm and quickly became one of the academy’s most productive attackers.
Kim scored 13 times for Girona B in 24/25, including two goals in the promotion playoffs, before being handed senior opportunities.
He made three La Liga appearances, played twice in the Copa del Rey and featured against PSV in the Champions League. Girona then sent him to FC Andorra for an important season in Spain’s second tier.
Kim did not waste it, making 40 league appearances, scoring six goals and racking up four assists during his loan. More importantly, he returned to Girona with far more experience of physical senior football.

He has carried that momentum into preseason.
Kim scored twice against Olot and impressed during a goalless draw with Al-Qadsiah. Girona want him to help their promotion challenge following relegation, but his contract leaves them with a decision to make.
His current deal expires in 2027, and unless fresh terms are agreed, this summer could represent their best opportunity to seal a good fee.
Kim has also admitted he would consider an attractive new opportunity, even though remaining at Girona is still possible, with the player also sharing the same representatives as Gers striker Youssef Chermiti.
Journalist Rudy Galetti reports that Rangers, Ajax, Lyon and Fenerbahçe have all recently enquired about Kim’s situation.
Their interest also fits the new 49ers recruitment model at Ibrox.
Kim is young, versatile and comfortable on either wing or behind a striker. He offers immediate first team potential while retaining the scope to develop into a valuable star.
Ajax and Lyon would provide strong competition, while Fenerbahçe possess considerably better spending power, but Rangers can offer a different attraction.
Regular football, potential European exposure and the chance to become part of McInnes’ rebuild could all appeal to a player approaching a defining season.
