Cumming (Ga.) South Forsyth quarterback Khayel Sam Fong-Talia made a great impression on 247Sports during his Elite 11 workout in New York in cold, windy conditions. The 6-2, 210-pound talent from the class of 2029 showed off a big arm and a big personality, as he looked like one of the most talented pure passers at the event.
Since that showing, Fong-Talia has blown up on the recruiting trail. His offer list includes Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, and many others.
On May 7, Fong-Talia added an offer from Notre Dame and head coach Marcus Freeman. Following a season where he threw for 2,315 yards, 25 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions, Fong-Talia was fired up to know that the Fighting Irish were in pursuit.
So, what type of shot does Notre Dame have? Why is Fong-Talia interested?
Here is what he told 247Sports.
