DETROIT, Mich. — One of the top prospects in the state of Michigan is set to announce his commitment this weekend. On Saturday, Aug. 15, at 6 pm ET, Cass Tech Top100 quarterback Donald Tabron II, a 6-4, 180-pound prospect from the class of 2028, will choose from LSU, Oregon and Texas A&M.

On Thursday, 247Sports was on-site at Cass Tech High School to watch Tabron and his teammates in action as he prepares for his junior season.

You can check out the footage at the top.

Tabron is a tremendous talent. Last fall, only a sophomore, he racked up 2,819 yards and 35 touchdown passes, as he led Cass Tech to a second straight state title appearance. Tabron and his team fell short of a championship, as they lost 42-19 to Catholic Central. As a freshman, he threw for 1,656 yards and 17 touchdowns on the season. They won the state title, 42-20, over Hudsonville.

247Sports slots Tabron as the No. 49 overall player in the nation, No. 3 quarterback overall, and No. 4 prospect in his home state. The industry-generated composite rankings list him as the No. 29 overall player nationally and a five-star recruit.

So, where will he end up committing on Saturday? Which team has the buzz heading into the home stretch?
