Everton have entered the race to sign FC Midtjylland star Dario Osorio, who Liverpool have identified as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah.
Osorio’s primary position is right-wing, which explains the Reds’ interest, as they are yet to bring in a like-for-like replacement for Salah, following the Egyptian’s move to Trabzonspor earlier this summer.
The Toffees, on the other hand, are relatively well-stocked in that area of the pitch, having already signed Brennan Johnson from Crystal Palace, while Iliman Ndiaye and Tyler Dibling can also be deployed on the right flank.

However, the FC Midtjylland forward is capable of playing on the left and through the middle too, and there are encouraging signs that he could be ready for a move to the Premier League, having picked up 23 goals and 18 assists in 117 outings for the Danish side since joining in 2023.
During the 2025-26 campaign, the Chilean winger created 34 chances in the Superliga, the second-highest number in the Midtjylland squad, and he was singled out for major plaudits by scout Jacek Kulig last August.

Everton are already well-stocked at right-wing, but Dibling failed to make an impact during his debut campaign at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, making just 14 Premier League appearances. Ndiaye, on the other hand, continues to attract interest from elsewhere, with Liverpool interested in signing the forward. As such, David Moyes could perhaps do with another option, and Osorio has proven he is ready for a move to the Premier League. |

Liverpool |
Any Salah replacement has big shoes to fill, with the 34-year-old amassing 257 goals and 123 assists during his nine-year stint on Merseyside. Having never played in one of Europe’s top leagues, the Midtjylland attacker may not currently be at the level to hold down a regular spot on the Reds’ right flank. As such, Ibrahim Mbaye, who has already made a breakthrough at Paris Saint-Germain, could be a better option. |
Midtyjlland are demanding just €20m (£17m) for Osorio, making him an affordable option for either Everton or Liverpool, but there is growing interest from across Europe, with clubs in Turkey, Germany, Spain, Italy and Portugal also keen.
