Hernandez was riding an 8-fight win streak earlier this year and may have secured a title shot had he beaten Sean Strickland at UFC Houston. But “Tarzan” knocked him out and sent him back to the drawing board. Tonight, “Fluffy” would look to return to winning ways and start another winning streak in the hopes of climbing the rankings, becoming a top contender, and earning a title shot soon.
Gregory Rodrigues, meanwhile, is riding a three-fight winning streak. With a victory over No. 7-ranked Hernandez tonight at UFC Sacramento, the Brazilian knockout artist could solidify his position in the title picture.
