Leeds United have been handed a transfer boost as one Wolves star expresses interest in joining them instead of Brighton, according to a new report.
The mood around Elland Road is as good as it has been all season.
Back-to-back wins over Man United and Wolves, followed by a hard-earned draw at Bournemouth, have ended any realistic threat of relegation, and Daniel Farke‘s squad can approach the final weeks of the campaign with a sense of freedom.
The numbers tell the story plainly enough.
Leeds now sit nine points above Tottenham in 18th, and the statistical probability of them going down has shrunk to virtually nothing.
No club in Premier League history has ever gone down having accumulated 40 points at this stage of the season, so history is firmly on Farke’s side.

The 49ers are looking to make a statement.
With safety essentially secured, attention at the club has turned to the summer.
The 49ers have reportedly identified three areas requiring reinforcement: a goalkeeper, a striker to push Dominic Calvert-Lewin, and a left-sided centre-back.
It is that third position which has produced the most advanced recruitment work so far, and the player who ticks every box just so happened to line up against them last Saturday.
Ladislav Krejci keen to join Leeds after ‘positive talks’
Ladislav Krejci played 75 minutes of Wolves’ 3-0 defeat at Elland Road before being taken off with a neck complaint.
The Czech Republic captain, who turned 27 earlier this week, is on loan from Girona and has been one of the few consistent performers in an otherwise dire Wolves campaign — making 26 Premier League appearances this season, scoring two goals and adding an assist.
Left-footed, 6 ft 3, and comfortable operating in a back three, his profile fits precisely what Farke is looking for.
Crucially, Wolves’ relegation has triggered a clause in Krejci’s loan deal that releases him from any obligation to make the move to Molineux permanent.
That opens the door for other clubs, and Leeds have moved quickly.
According to TEAMtalk, ‘positive talks’ between the club and Krejci’s reps have gone well, with sources describing the negotiations as encouraging and indicating that Krejci is genuinely interested in a move to West Yorkshire.
Personal terms are not expected to be a sticking point.
Brighton have also registered interest, so the race is not entirely without competition, but Leeds are believed to be in a strong position.
A fee of around £26m is understood to be the figure attached to his capture from Girona, where he has a contract running until 2029.
Leeds already have Joe Rodon, Pascal Struijk, Jaka Bijol and Sebastiaan Bornauw as central defensive options, but adding a left-footed, dominant presence who captains his country could bring genuine quality and depth to the group.
Before that, though, Leeds face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-final on Sunday — a chance to reach their first final at Wembley since 1973.
