The Clemson Tigers have picked up one of the top safety recruits in the 2027 class.

This is a surprise commitment for the Tigers, too.

Jarrell Chandler is a four-star safety from Knoxville, Tennessee.

For the duration of his recruitment, the Tennessee Volunteers have been his top team. That makes sense, too, considering the proximity.

The Miami Hurricanes also made a late push, apparently, over the past week or so.

In the end, though, it was Dabo Swinney and the Tigers that won this recruiting battle.

Chandler committed to Clemson on Monday.
