LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The fifth edition of the Overtime OT7 Finals will be one to remember as over 50 prospects currently ranked inside the Top247 for either the class of 2027 or the class of 2028 made their way to Loyola Marymount University for a three-day, 7-on-7 tournament.

With no-shortage of star power, plenty of players impressed at various points throughout the weekend. But only a handful of recruits truly separated themselves from the rest of the pack and those are the ones that made a run for a spot on our annual ‘Dream Team.’

Back in 2022 at the inaugural OT7 Finals in Las Vegas, recent NFL Draft picks like Carnell Tate, Ja’Kobi Lane and Malik Muhammad were all recognized on our ‘Dream Team’ as was Dante Moore. The following year featured Jeremiah Smith, Julian Sayin and KJ Duff.

Who made it this time?

QB: Trae Taylor, 5-star (Nebraska commit)

It wasn’t exactly the most-high profile group of signal-callers assembled, but Taylor’s arm talent was clearly superior to others. The co-Alpha Dog of the Elite 11 Finals was really the only quarterback that looked to consistently challenge the deeper third and was one of the few that constantly threw with anticipation. He also took care of the football and finished the tournament with a 17:3 touchdown-to-interception ratio. The No. 1-ranked passer in the new-look Top247 continues to stack impressive outings.

WR: Osani Gayles, Top247

There wasn’t a bigger workhorse over three days of action than Gayles, who quickly settled in as the go-to target for RAW. He caught 34 passes for 461 yards and 12 touchdowns in seven games according to OT7’s stats and research department. Gayles is a skilled route-runner that will manipulate defenders with crisp angles and a seamless gearbox. He didn’t exactly see a ton of volume as a junior at IMG Academy, but he’s got what it takes to be a true chain-mover for a College Football Playoff contender.
