On Monday, Cincinnati (Ohio) Princeton Top247 cornerback Monsanna Torbert Jr. decommitted from Indiana. The 5-10, 160-pounder from the class of 2027 had been committed to the Hoosiers since Jan. 10, but decided now was the right time to open up his recruitment.

Torbert is one of the top players in the country. 247Sports ranks him as the No. 195 overall player nationally, No. 26 at his position, and No. 7 overall in his home state. The industry-generated composite rankings slot him at No. 139 overall nationally.

The decision by Torbert doesn’t come as a big surprise. There have been rumblings of a potential decommitment for a few weeks now.

Here is the latest on the talented two-way athlete, who totaled 40 tackles, three interceptions, and two pick-sixes on defense while totaling over 2,000 yards on offense and 26 touchdowns at quarterback last fall.
