MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. — The stakes were raised Saturday night at the Elite 11 Finals as all 20 quarterbacks went through the Vicis Pro Day and the Panini Accuracy Challenge.
After Nebraska commit Trae Taylor made a statement during the opening workout on Friday, it was clear that everyone else was trying to make some noise of their own on “moving day” and that resulted in an ultra-competitive environment at Mira Costa High.
The Vicis Pro Day script asked the signal-callers to make 20 different throws. They took snaps under center and from the gun while incorporating three-, five- and seven-step drops before firing at targets scattered across the field.
Instead of doing a traditional 1-11 ranking of the quarterbacks, this year we are dishing out letter grades each day for the finalists before naming our MVP and top 11 for the event after the conclusion of 7-on-7 play on Sunday. The below grades reflect how that quarterback did Saturday.
