MANHATTAN BEACH, Calif. – The 2026 Elite 11 Finals is officially in the books. After an opening workout Friday and a demanding throwing session Saturday, the nation’s premier quarterback competition wrapped up Sunday with 7-on-7 play at Mira Costa High.
Unlike some of the more recent editions of the Elite 11 Finals, no MVP was named at the conclusion of the showcase event. That will instead come in a few weeks at The Opening Finals as 11 of the 20 quarterbacks will make their way to Nike’s World Headquarters for two more days of drills and games.
ALPHA DOGS FOR THE WEEKEND: TRAE TAYLOR (NEBRASKA COMMIT), ISRAEL ABRAMS (MIAMI COMMIT)
Never before have we named co-Alpha Dogs for a marquee event like the Elite 11 Finals, but we felt like both Trae Taylor and Israel Abrams separated themselves from the rest of the pack.
Taylor made coverage-beating throws that other signal-callers simply couldn’t make each day. His rapid motion produced NFL-like velocity and he was able to consistently fit the football into tight windows.
Abrams was able to paint every corner of the field with a variety of different arm slots. His energy was rarely matched by his peers and his full-body twitch created plenty of jaw-dropping moments.
How close were the two over the three days?
-Taylor was Friday night’s Alpha Dog. Abrams was Saturday night’s Alpha Dog.
-Abrams had our best Vicis Pro Day score with 41 points and 7 dimes. Taylor tied for second with 36 points and 6 dimes.
-Taylor went 13 of 20 for 280 yards and 7 touchdowns on Sunday. Abrams went 14 of 18 for 311 yards with 7 TD and 1 INT.
